Instagram sold to Facebook

Instagram was once a cherished app. Not anymore.”

“The larger issue to me is that Facebook is adding Instagram data to its own.”

“Wow facebook buy instagram for 1 billion dollars!!! Here comes the spam”

“People get upset about FB buying Instagram because it’s like your mom showing up a party. “The point was to have fun *without* you!”

“Facebook bought instagram? RIP instagram .”

“I feel sad knowing that Facebook now owns Instagram.”

“You know what the Facebook-Instagram really means? FB just accelerated the pace in developing the largest facial recognition database ever.”

“What Facebook is going to find out is how much of Instagram‘s value was that it was a place to share photos that was not Facebook.”

“We’re psyched to be joining Facebook and are excited to build a better Instagram for everyone”, Instagram CEO , Kevin says on Instagram’s official announcement of their cooperation with Facebook but its users do not seem to be sharing his enthusiasm.

Twitter users are already debating on this change with many of them looking for ways to delete their photos and profiles from the application, fearing that Facebook will either shut down the service or make dramatic changes to it (both parts, however, have reassured that won’t be happening).

What seems to concern Instagram users the most however, is the way Facebook collects all your personal data in a big database.  Instagram was for many an alternative way to Facebook’s massive size and with Instagram being part of it they feel that they somehow found themselves in Facebook without actually wanting to.
